Man Steals $200 In Charity Donations From Collection Box


A customer stole about $200 from a donation collection box sitting on a store's customer service counter. The store's security manager, who is also the contact person for the foundation (which receives the donations) said they have the incident on surveillance video. Police are investigating. 

Woman charged with theft after hot goods found in her purse, police say

Stacy Perry, 37, of Glenview was charged with retail theft Nov. 20 at 12:45 p.m. at a store in Golf Mill Shopping Center, after a security agent said took six clothing items into a fitting room, exited the fitting room without either carrying them or leaving them behind, and exited the store without paying, according to the report. The security agent stopped her outside the store and retrieved the items, worth about $200, from her purse, police said. Her court date is Dec. 18.

Car glass smashed, $2,500 camera taken

A man reported Nov. 22 that on Nov. 8, his vehicle had been parked in a 6800 block of Milwaukee Avenue parking lot, and someone had smashed the moon roof and removed a $2,500 camera.
