Men Charged With DUI After Weaving In Cadillac, BMW

An arrest is merely an accusation and not evidence of a conviction.



David Flores, 29, of Montana Avenue, Chicago, was charged with Class 4 felony aggravated DUI and driving without a valid driver's license on Oct. 26 at 3:30 a.m. in the 6200 block of Howard Street. 

An off-duty Chicago officer notified police Flores was weaving over the double yellow line while driving a black Cadillac Escalade on Harlem Avenue, the report indicated. Niles police stopped Flores, who told them he had insurance but no license. Police also smelled the odor of alcohol on his breath and he failed field sobriety tests, according to the report. His court date is Nov. 13 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.

Flavius Balaban, 26, of North Keating Avenue, Chicago, was charged with DUI Oct. 26 just before 3:15 a.m. when a Niles police officer observed him veering from one lane to another while driving a blue BMW 325ci southeastbound on Milwaukee Avenue in the 7700 block, police reports indicated. 

Police said they smelled the odor of alcohol on his breath, according to the report, and that he told them he had had two Corona beers at a bar. He showed impairment on field sobriety tests. His court date is Dec. 11.

Driving With a Suspended License

Jennifer Daus, 32, of Glenview, was charged with driving with a suspended license Oct. 25, just before 12:15 a.m., after police stopped her for swerving within her own lane, according to the police report. She was also cited for no insurance. Her court date is Nov. 15.
