MoGro Blotter: Drugs, Man In Black, Cat Food

Morton Grove Police released the following information: 

Pawel Gorio, 21, of Glenview was stopped April 4 for traffic violations and was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license. His court date is scheduled for 4/26/12.

On March 30, in the 8900 block of Harms, Derrek Sorenson, 21, of Morton Grove stated his car was stolen; it was recovered and found to have no signs of damage.  During an inventory of the vehicle, suspect cannabis and paraphernalia was discovered, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis and paraphernalia. 

Leona Sugg, 20, of Des Plaines was stopped for traffic violations March 31 in the 7100 block of Greenwood and charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Court date is scheduled for 5/8/12

Ernest Siegel, 80, of Wilmette was charged with retail theft after police said he took bird feed and cat food without paying for them at a store at 6301 Oakton on March 30. Court date is scheduled for 5/9/12.

Joseph Onuszko was charged with retail theft March 31 after police said he took drill bits and a trailer hitch from a store at 6301 Oakton without paying for them. Court date is scheduled for 4/26/12.

Edgar Montanez, 39, of Chicago was charged with DUI after police stopped him stopped for traffic violations in the 6900 block of Dempster on April 1. 

Jose Esqniuel, 23, of Elgin was cited for disorderly conduct after he was asked to leave the business located at 6000 Dempster, a bar/restaurant, on April 1, but refused.  

Antonio Rodriguez, 32, of Carpentersville was cited for simple battery April 1 after police said he used his head and struck the victim in the mouth causing a minor laceration to the victim’s lip. The incident occurred in the 6000 block of Dempster. 

Erik Peterson, 28, of Vernon Hills was charged with possession of cannabis and paraphernalia April 2 after he was seen walking through a residential area in the 5800 block of Lyons dressed in all black at 0400 hours.  Police stopped him and asked a few questions about why he was in the area.  The subject consented to a search of his person and during the search cannabis and paraphernalia were located, police said. Court date is scheduled for 5/11/12

Reginald Cooper, 43, of Glenview was charged with criminal trespass after he entered the premises at 9424 Waukegan on April 3 and removed clothing from the washing machine and placed his own items in, police said. The subject was not a guest at the hotel, and thus was not allowed to be on the property. Court date is scheduled for 5/8/12
