MoGro Blotter: Drugs, Fight, Gun, Champagne

These crimes occurred in Morton Grove recently. An arrest is merely an accusation, not a conviction.

 

ARRESTS

Gabriel Carrillo, 18, of North Riverside was charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of cannabis after an Aug. 8 incident in the 5700 block of Main Street. An officer stopped to investigate a suspicious occupied vehicle and smelled an odor of burnt cannabis, police said.  A search revealed suspect cannabis, 8 Alprazolam pills, and 2 Morphine pills, according to the report. Court date is scheduled for 09/19/12.

David A. Conrad, 51, of Morton Grove was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm after police said he fired a high-powered pellet rifle at a mosque. The incident occurred in the 5700 block of Capulina on Aug. 11. 

Richard J. Armstrong, 53, of Niles was stopped Aug. 12 at Oakton and Caldwell for traffic violations, police said, and charged with DUI. Court date is scheduled for 09/19/12.

Joanne Garcia, 27, of Berwyn, was stopped for traffic violations  Aug. 12 at Dempster and Waukegan, police said, and charged with DUI. Court date is scheduled for 09/19/12. 

Sarah Khan, 20, of Morton Grove was charged with battery Aug. 12 in the 9200 block of Sayre. Police said she was involved in a physical altercation with the complainant, and allegedly pushed and punched the complainant. Court date is scheduled for 09/20/12.

Kristen Fasano, 18 of Morton Grove was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after she police said she was stopped for traffic violations Aug. 16 in the 8500 block of Waukegan Road. According to the report, the officer smelled an odor of burnt cannabis coming from her vehicle.  A search revealed a pipe and a cannabis grinder, police said. Court date is scheduled for 09/19/12.

Thamithy Barton, 45, of Des Plaines was charged with obstructing identification after police said Barton was stopped for traffic violations Aug. 14 in the 6300 block of Dempster. Barton provided an ID to the officer that belonged to someone else, according to the report, allegedly attempting to avoid an arrest for driving with a revoked driver’s license.

MISCELLANEOUS

In a theft incident Aug. 7 in the 9200 block of Central, an unknown offender took the victim’s bicycle from his backyard.

Someone took a bottle of champagne without paying for it on Aug. 9 at a store at 6005 Dempster. 

In a criminal damage to property case, an unknown offender damaged the complainant’s window, possibly with a BB gun. It occurred Aug. 10 in the 8800 block of Luna. 

In a burglary attempt, an unknown offender broke a window of a vacant house in the 9300 block of Shermer Road Aug. 11.  It did not appear the person gained entry, police said. 

On Aug. 12, an unknown offender took a debit and credit card from the complainant’s wallet while he was working out at a gym at 6821 Dempster.  The victim did not notice that the cards were gone until he received a call from the bank about fraudulent purchases.

An unknown offender took a grill, grill cover, and other miscellaneous items from a common area in the complainant’s condo building in the 8400 block of Callie on Aug. 15.

as a airsoft player it sucks that he is using airsoft guns to threaten these drivers. i got my airsoft guns from http://airsplat.com/ and i heard that a new law sb131 is trying to ban the play of this sport and guys like this dont help out.
