MoGro Blotter: Seven Gnomes and Purse Stolen

DUI, Driving on a Suspended License and Counterfeit Cash round out the police blotter. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

 

Tania Lujano, 24, of Evanston was stopped for traffic violations in the 6800 block of Dempster on June 29, police said, and charged with not having a driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for 8/12/2012.

Toni Dolfus, 38, of Morton Grove was stopped at 5610 Dempster for traffic violations on June 7, police said, and charged with driving under the influence.

 Mario B. Castillo, 25, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations  in the 6300 block of Dempster June 23, police said, and charged with driving without a license. Court date is scheduled for 7/13/12.

Cornel Luciu, 44, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations  June 23 in the 5600 block of Dempster, police said, and charged with driving on a suspended License. Court date is scheduled for 7/13/12.

Senon Diego-Basilio, 33, of Northfield was stopped for traffic violations in the 7200 block of Golf Road on June 23 and charged with driving with a suspended DL. Court Date: 7/13/12. 

Raza Ali, 18, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations June 24 in the 7300 block of Golf Road, police said, and charged with driving with a suspended license. Court date is scheduled for 7/13/12.

Suk Chang, 52, of Morton Grove was stopped for traffic violations June 23 in the 6600 block of Dempster, police said, and charged with driving under the influence. Court date is scheduled for 8/1/12.

Rafael Zetina-Munoz, 24, of Chicago, was stopped for traffic violations in the 9000 block of Waukegan Road June 24, police said, and charged with driving without a license. Court Date: 7/13/12.

Bayaraa Tumenbayar, 35, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations June 24 in the 5500 block of Lincoln and charged with driving without a license. Court date is scheduled for 8/16/12.

Sam Spiratos, 43, of Morton Grove was stopped for traffic violations at Marmora at Main June 24 and charged with driving on a suspended license. Court date is scheduled for 7/10/12.        

Quincy Q. Miller, 27, was stopped for traffic violations in the 6300 block of Dempster June  25, police said, and charged with driving under the influence. Court Date: 7/13/12.

Benjamin Youkana, 30, of Niles was charged with battery  June 23 at 6101 Capulina. Court date is scheduled for 7/13/12.

Maria C. Soria, 35, of Chicago was charged with retail theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after an incident June 26 at a store at 6301 Oakton. Police said she removed items from their packages and had her children conceal them as they all walked out of the store passing the last point of purchase without paying for the items. Court date is scheduled for 7/13/12. 

MISCELLANEOUS

In a deceptive practice case, a woman attempted to use U.S currency to pay for services at 5700 Dempster, police said, and was told it was counterfeit.  The subject had received the bill from her family business from one of the patrons, according to the report.  The Secret Service was notified and police turned the currency over to them. 

On June 24, someone stole a garden gnome from the front lawn of a home in the 7800 block of Church Street. 

Tychia Davis, 28, of Evanston, was charged with harassment by telephone after an incident June 24 at a store at 9301 Waukegan. Police said she came into the store to return merchandise without a receipt.  The store refused to accept the merchandise for return and Davis was not pleased, according to the report. Police said she called the store and threatened harm to the manager that refused the merchandise return.  The store manager did not wish to sign complaints.  

On June 24, unknown offender(s) broke the back driver side window of the victim's car, which was parked at 6121 Dempster. They removed a purse and shopping bags from the vehicle without the permission of the owner. 

On June 26, an unknown person stole seven garden gnomes from the front lawn of a home in the 8900 block of Oconto.
