MoGro Blotter: Thefts, DUI

Arrest information is supplied by the Morton Grove Police Department. An arrest is merely an accusation of guilt and does not indicate a conviction.

 

Loulite LeFlore, 43, of Des Plaines, was charged March 15 with leaving the scene of a vehicle crash at 6101 Capulina. Police said she did not stop to render aid or provide information after she struck another vehicle. Court date is scheduled for 4/24/12.

Przemyslaw Olszewski, 30, of Chicago was charged with retail theft March 16 at 6301 Oakton (Menard's). Police said he was stopped by loss prevention agents after he was observed concealing an item. Court date is scheduled for 4/03/12.

Alfred Hegyes, 51, of Niles was charged with retail theft at 6301 Oakton (Menard's) March 16. Police said he was stopped by loss prevention agents after he was observed removing items from boxes and concealing them into other boxes in an attempt to get extra items for free. He was issued a ticket for retail theft and given a no trespass order.

Kenneth Wabomnor, 21, of Skokie was charged with disorderly conduct March 16 at a liquor store at 6005 Dempster after police said he alarmed and disturbed the shopkeeper by threatening to come back with a gun after the shopkeeper asked for identification.

Jonathan Grant, 29, of Rockford was charged with possession of stolen registration March 16 after police said he was found to be loitering in a vehicle in the 5700 block of Cleveland in a suspicious manner.  A field interview and investigation by the officer found, according to police, that the subject was in possession of a stolen dealer license plate from Rockford. Court date is scheduled for 04/3/12.

Luzvida C. Echiverri, 64, of Des Plaines was stopped March 17 for traffic offenses at Dempster and Olcott and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license. Her court date is scheduled for 4/24/12.

Two male subjects under age 21 were stopped after erratic driving, police said, March 17 in the 5800 block of Dempster and found to have consumed alcohol. Both were charged with minor in consumption of alcohol and the driver was charged with zero tolerance as well. Court date is scheduled for 4/26/12.

Aaron Brown, 33, of Chicago was stopped March 17 for speeding, police said, in the 5800 block of Dempster, and charged with DUI. His court date is scheduled for 4/3/12. 

Christian Velasquez, 30, of Des Plaines was stopped March 18 in the 6300 block of Dempster for erratic driving, police said, and charged with DUI. Court date is scheduled for 5/18/12.

Blanca Velasquez-Flores, 43, of Skokie was stopped March 18 in the 5600 block of Golf Road for traffic offenses, police said. She was charged with driving without a valid license. Court date is scheduled for 4/24/12.

Daniel Nava, 28, of Chicago was noticed passed out in his vehicle at a stop light March 19, police said. He was charged with DUI. Court date is scheduled for 4/3/12.

Aleksandra Rajska, 27, of Elmwood Park, was stopped by loss prevention agents March 21 in a retail store in the 7200 block of Dempster (Loehmann's). She was issued a ticket for retail theft and given a no trespass order.

A person’s Mercedes was taken from in front of his house.  The reporting officer performed surveillance in the area and found the vehicle in the possession of the vehicle owner’s daughter.  No complaints were signed and discipline was handled by the parents.
