MoGro Police Blotter: Identity Theft, Phone Harrassment and Underage Drinking

Officers arrested 10 people in the past week and logged nine incidents in the village.

Arrests

Karolin Arkalyus, 46, of Park Ridge is charged with leaving the scene of a "personal injury" accident, after she hit a bicyclist pulling out of a business, asked if the bicyclist was "okay" and then left without calling the police or waiting for police to arrive at the 6700 block of Dempster Street on March 18.

Alvin Sarkis, 32, of Morton Grove was taken to the District 2 Courthouse for a bond hearing after he reportedly flashed gang signs at someone, and police discovered an active warrant on the subject's record on March 21 at 5440 Oakton Ave.

David Demars, 42, of Park Ridge was charged with identity theft and credit card fraud on March 16 at 6101 Capulina Ave.

Anna Cieslukowski, 29, of Park Ridge was charged with identity theft and credit card fraud on March 16 at 6101 Capulina Ave.

Jerrold Levin, 65, of Skokie was charged with driving under the influence after he was involved in a car accident with injuries at the 7200 block of Beckwith Road on March 17.

Robin Bhatti, 20, of Skokie was charged with "fleeing and eluding/reckless driving" after police spotted Bhatti driving at a fast speed, and the subject attempted to elude the officer through car traffic. Police later found the car in a parking lot, and Bhatti was charged on March 19 at the 6200 block of Golf Road.

Dan Tulban, 42, of Niles was charged with retail theft after Tulban was seen taking merchandise and leaving the store at 6301 Oakton Ave., where Menards is located, without paying for it on March 17.

Peterly Pexis, 35, of Phoenix, AZ was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license on March 16 at the 8400 block of Ferris Avenue.

Jimmy Hoyos, 19, of Chicago was charged with underage drinking on March 18 at 6315 Dempster St.

Mudassir Muztar, 19, of Lincolnwood was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident after the subject "struck a vehicle traveling next to him ... failed to stop and later came into the station" on March 17 at the 6200 block of Dempster Street.

Known unknowns

Unknown offender(s) took items from 5730 Dempster St., where Walgreens is located, on March 17.

Unknown offender(s) took $300 worth of truck tire rims and brake drums from the back of a business at 6131 Oakton Ave. on March 18.

There was criminal damage to the property at 5940 Lincoln Avenue on March 18 when an unknown object hit the window of the business and scratched the window glass.

A political campaign sign bit the dust on March 13 when unknown offender(s) damaged the sign in the front yard of the property at 5800 Carol Ave.

Unknown offender(s) painted words on the sidewalk at the 9300 block of National Avenue on March 18 with green spray paint.

A vehicle was damaged when someone wrote on its driver side with purple marker at 5736 Main St. on March 19.

A glass lantern and vent were damaged at the home located at 9315 Harlem Ave. on March 21.

Unknown offender(s) entered an unlocked garage and took a gas can and tools on March 21 at 8528 School St.

Someone called the home of 6630 Davis St. and used profanity before hanging up.
