Morton Grove Crime: Armed Robbery, Cannabis, Theft

Among other crime, an armed robber who has become known as the "hair salon bandit" displayed a gun in a salon robbery. An arrest is merely an accusation and not evidence of a conviction.

 

ARRESTS

Jason Utahal, 33, of Roselle was stopped for traffic violations at Dempster and Harlem Jan. 3, police said. They arrested him after learning there was an arrest warrant for him, according to the report. Court date is scheduled for 2/11/13

Evan Cobb Yates, 23, of Skokie was stopped for traffic violations Jan. 4 at Dempster and Waukegan, police said, and charged with possession of cannabis. Court date is scheduled for 02/06/13.

Maribel Solus-Arsetta, 27, of Chicago, was stopped for traffic violations Jan. 4 in the 8900 block of Waukegan Road, police said, and charged with driving without a driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for 02/11/1

Irwin J. Rolle, 20, of Skokie was stopped Jan. 9 for traffic violations at Lehigh and Davis, according to the report, and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for 2/6/13 

MISCELLANEOUS

In an armed robbery at 6761 Dempster Jan. 3, an unknown offender robbed employees of Great Clips at gun point.

In a deceptive practice case Jan. 4 in the 8100 block of River, unknown offender(s) used the victim’s personal information and credit card to make an online purchase.

In a theft case Jan. 5 at 9202 Waukegan Road, unknown offender(s) took the victim’s I-phone which was left on a counter.

In a retail theft case Jan. 7 at 6315 Dempster, unknown offender(s) stole two bottles of liquor

In a retail theft case Jan. 9 at 6301 Oakton, an unknown offender stole a nail gun.
