Morton Grove Crime: Arson, Trespass, Burglary

ARRESTS

Jozef Komosa, 66, of Morton Grove, was charged with criminal trespass April 25 after police said he was asked to leave the premises in the 7600 block of Dempster and failed to do so. Court date is scheduled for 06/10/13. 

David Hernandez, 25, of Des Plaines was stopped for traffic violations April 25 in the 7900 block of Church Street, police said, found to have an active outstanding warrant, and arrested. Court date is scheduled for 04/27/13.

Marcos Burgos, 27, of Morton Grove was stopped for traffic violations April 26 at Dempster and the Edens, police said. He showed impairment on field sobriety tests, and was charged with DUI. Court date is scheduled for 06/06/13.

Eric Ferguson, 39, of Calumet Park and Jesse Tolbert, 49, of Chicago were stopped after exiting a store at 7232 Dempster with unpaid merchandise, police said, and charged. Court date is scheduled for 06/03/13

Mario Bedolla was charged with driving without a valid driver's license April 29 at Dempster and Waukegan. Police said they had stopped him for traffic violations. Court date is scheduled for 06/20/13. 

Gerardo Ontiveros, 32, of Chicago was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license April 29 after he was stopped for traffic violations, police said, at Dempster and Lehigh. Court date is scheduled for 06/10/13. 

Kevin Maguire, 43, of Morton Grove was charged with aggravated arson April 29 in the 8900 block of Oriole. Police said he is believed to have ignited a fire within a home. Court date is scheduled for 05/10/13.

Brandon Williams, 31, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations April 30 at Dempster and Major, police said, and charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for 06/06/13.

William Castillo, 35, was stopped for traffic violations April 23 at Dempster and Athletic and charged with driving without a driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for 05/17/13.

William Walsh, 25, was found to be in a location in violation of an active order of protection on April 30 in the 7100 block of Greenwood, police said. He was charged with an order of protection violation. Court date is scheduled for 05/09/13.

Gustavo Ortiz, 31, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations April 23 at Dempster and Ozark, police said, and charged with driving without a driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for 05/22/13

MISCELLANEOUS

In a criminal damage to property case April 22 in the 9000 block of Belleforte Ave., unknown offender(s) used spray paint to deface school property.

In a theft case in the 9300 block of Osceola, unknown offender(s) stole two bicycles and a lawn chair from a victim. 

In a theft case April 25 in the 6800 block of Dempster, unknown offender(s) stole keys and an electronic device from a victim.

In a burglary case April 26 in the 5700 block of Oakton, unknown offender(s) burglarized a home.

In a criminal damage to property case April 29 in the 9000 block of Parkside, unknown offender(s) broke the rear window of a victim’s vehicle.
