ARRESTS

Moez Jaffer, 21, was stopped for speeding 34 miles per hour over the speed limit at Golf and Washington May 12, according to the report, and was charged with misdemeanor speeding. Court date is scheduled for 06/06/13.

Guillermo Benitez, 37, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations May 13 at Dempster and Central and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for 06/06/13.

Carrol Holloway, 63, of Chicago was charged with criminal damage to property and turned over to Metra PD after breaking a window at the Metra station May 13.

Vikas Auluck, 21, of Skokie, Anthony Acaosi, 21, of Leander, Texas and Samuel V. Ortiz, 30, of Skokie were charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia May 14 in the 6100 block of Elm. Court date is scheduled for 06/21/13.  Ortiz was also charged under a separate arrest warrant.

Pedro Lopez, 20, of Niles was stopped for traffic violations May 5 at Dempster and Austin, police said, and charged with driving on a suspended license. Court date is scheduled for 06/20/13.

MISCELLANEOUS

In a financial identity theft case May 1 in the 8900 block of Meade, an unknown offender attempted to withdraw money from the victim’s checking account.

In a burglary case May 1 in the 5700 block of Capri, unknown offender(s) entered into the residence but nothing was taken.

In an attempted burglary case May 10 in the 7600 block of Churchill, unknown offender(s) attempted to pry open the rear door.
