Morton Grove Crime: Road Rage, Phone Threat, Scam

ARRESTS

Erdenebileu Sereeter, 27, of Skokie was stopped June 27 for committing traffic violations, according to the report, failed field sobriety tests, and was charged with DUI. Court date is scheduled for 07/24/13.

Varlin Goyal, 31, of Morton Grove was stopped for committing traffic violations, police said, failed field sobriety tests, and was charged with DUI. Court date is scheduled for 07/24/13.

Meghan Chovanec, 22, of Chicago was stopped June 30 for committing traffic violations, according to the report. She failed field sobriety tests, and was charged with DUI as well as possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Court date is scheduled for 08/12/13.

Ron Sacluti, 40, of Chicago was stopped July 1 for committing traffic violations, according to police. They said he failed field sobriety tests, and was charged with DUI. Court date is scheduled for 07/24/13

Lashae Moulton, 25, of Winthrop Harbor was stopped July 1 for traffic violations and charged with  driving on a revoked drivers license. Court date is scheduled for 07/29/13.

Pedro Espinoza, 37, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations July 2 and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for 07/29/13. 

MISCELLANEOUS

In a telephone threat case Wednesday in the 9000 block of Waukegan, the offender called an office to obtain medical records. When he was advised that he could not have the records immediately he became agitated and began to yell and swear at the victim over the phone.  The offender threatened to come to the business and then hung up.  The victim only wanted the incident documented at this time. 

In a deceptive practice case Wednesday in te 6800 block of Church Street, a victim received a phone call stating a relative was in the Dominican Republic and needed $3,300 to get out of jail.  The caller asked the victim to send the money to two separate bondsmen.  The victim hung up and immediately phoned his relative and found out that it was a scam.  No money was lost by the victim. 

In a battery case Wednesday at Golf and Harms Roads, two parties engaged in a road rage incident that ended in one party throwing a half  a cup of iced coffee into the open window of the other vehicle, causing the drink to go all over the inside of the car.
