Morton Grove Crime: Scams, ID Theft, Driving Without License

And a man threatened an employee because an item he wanted was out of stock. An arrest is merely an accusation and not evidence of a conviction.

Aiden Ricco, 44, of Skokie was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 28, police said, and charged with driving without a valid driver's license. Court date is scheduled for 10/25/12.

Uno Sanchez, 21, of Mount Prospect was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 28, police said, and was charged with driving without a valid driver's license. Court date is scheduled for 10/24/12.

Lionel Holmes, 28, of Chicago, was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 30 in the 8200 block of Golf Road, police said, and was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license. Court date is scheduled for 10/24/12.

Kathleen Papageorge, 21, of Golf was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 30, police said, and was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license. Court date is scheduled for 10/25/12.

James Showers, 45, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 26, police said, and was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license. Court date is scheduled for 11/12/12.

Derrick Flowers, 61, of Des Plaines, was stopped for traffic violations Oct. 1 and was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license. Court date is scheduled for 10/25/12.

Reynaldo Suarez, 41, of Glenview was stopped for traffic violations Oct. 1, police siad, and was charged with driving on a revoked driver's license. Court date is scheduled for 10/24/12.

Marc Pavey, 61, of Glenview and Matthew Adams, 37, of Park Ridge were stopped Sept. 26 in the 6500 block of Oakton after police said they observed them drag racing. Both were charged with reckless driving. Court date is scheduled for 10/24/12.

Rami Howria, 20, of Schaumburg was arrested Sept. 30 on an active arrest warrant. 

Noe Miranda, 34, of Chicago was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 30 at Dempster and Lehigh and charged with DUI. Court date is scheduled for 10/24/12.

Samano Samano, 24, of Morton Grove was stopped for traffic violations Oct. 1 in the 8800 block of Mansfield, police said, and was charged with possession of cannabis and paraphernalia. Court date is scheduled for 10/24/12.

After an 18-year-old male was pulled over for an investigative stop Oct. 3 in the 5700 block of Theobold, police said, his passenger was found to be in possession of cannabis which he admitted that he intended to sell. He was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver. Court date is scheduled for 10/20/12. 

MISCELLANEOUS

 

Grandparent scam

In a deceptive practice case Sept. 25 int he 8900 block of National, an unknown offender falsely identified himself as the victim’s grandson via telephone and told the victim that he was arrested in Mexico and need money wired to him to pay the bond. After wiring the money the victim realized it was a scam.

Deceptive practice: Financial ID Theft

Unknown offender used the victim’s credit card number Sept. 9 to make an unauthorized purchase. It occurred at 6821 Dempster. 

Criminal trespass to Vehicle

An unknown offender was observed entering a car parked in the dealer parking lot at 9105 Waukegan on Sept. 27, then running off.   Nothing was reported to be missing.

Telephone harassment

The offender called the victim, in the 9300 block of Menard, an excessive number of times Sept. 27 in reference to a civil dispute between the two. Victim did not wish to sign complaints. Offender was advised not to contact the victim anymore.

Disorderly conduct

The offender entered the gas station at 7971 Golf on Oct. 1 and threw items over the check-out counter, then left. The offender was located and issued a local citation for disorderly conduct.

Unknown offender threatened to physically harm the store employees at 6715 Dempster Sept. 28 after being told that the item he was looking for was not in stock.
