Morton Grove Police Blotter: Drug Arrest, DUIs and More

The following information was supplied by the Morton Grove Police Department. An arrest is not a conviction.

Aggravated Identity Theft

Roger Shimanovsky, 51, of Niles was charged January 22 with aggravated identity theft. Police stated that Shimanovsky used family members credit cards and wrote two unauthorized checks.

DUI

Jennifer L. Lagioia, 19, of Skokie was charged January 23 with DUI after a traffic stop.

Dexter O. Trannon, 22, of Chicago was charged January 27 with DUI after a traffic stop.

Drug Charge

Charles J. Lapaglia, 18, of Morton Grove was charged January 24 with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and resisting arrest. Police stated that Lapaglia agreed to sell cannabis to an undercover police officer and subsequently ran away when they tried to arrest him.

Retail Theft

Robin Ellis, 50, of Morton Grove and Raymond Centanni, 61, of Morton Grove were charged January 30 with retail theft after removing items from a business and proceeding past the last point of purchase without paying.

Burglary

Someone broke the window of a home in the 6600 block of Golf Road, entered the home and took multiple iterms. The incident was reported on Jan. 25.

Car Burglary

Someon entered an unlocked vehicle in the 8900 block of Oconto Avenue and took several items. The incident was reported on January 28.

Criminal Damage to Property

Someone broke a window of a home in the 5800 block of Cleveland Street and took several items. The incident was reported on January 29.

Theft

Items were taken from an unclocked locker from an establishment in the 6800 block of Dempster Street. The incident was reported January 30.
