Morton Grove Police Blotter: Traffic, Spray Paint and Public Indecency

Officers arrested 13 people in the past week.

"Readers are reminded that an arrest by the police does not constitute a finding of guilt, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty," according to a statement from police Cmdr. Michael Fujara.

Traffic

Miguel Chacian, 34, of Chicago was charged with driving without a driver's license after being stopped for traffic violations on Feb. 25 at the 7500 block of Dempster Street.

Roberto Galvan, 24, of Chicago was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license after being stopped for traffic violations on Feb. 25 at the 6200 block of Beckwith Road.

William Hulsman, 44, of Schaumburg was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license after being stopped for traffic violations on Feb. 25 at the corner of Dempster Street and Athletic Drive.

Jonathan Guzman, 28, of Evanston was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license after being stopped for traffic violations on Feb. 27 at the 6100 block of Dempster Street.

Anna Long, 47, of Chicago was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license after being stopped for traffic violations on Feb. 27 at the 8800 block of Austin Avenue.

Gelerto Castro-Bella, 21, of Elgin was charged with driving without a driver's license after being stopped for traffic violations on Feb. 28 at the 8800 block of Dempster Street.

Damir Svraka, 21, of Glenview was charged with reckless driving on Feb. 28 at the 6700 block of Beckwith Road.

German Carreto, 30, of Glenview was charged with driving with a revoked driver's license after the subject was stopped for traffic violations on March 1 at the 8300 block of Caldwell Avenue.

Juan Carlos Sanchez, 19, of Des Plaines was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license after being stopped for traffic violations on March 1 at the corner of Oakton Avenue and Caldwell Avenue.

Danhi Wilson, 20, of Niles was charged with driving on a suspended driver's license after being stopped for traffic violations on March 2 at the corner of Washington Road and Wilson Terrace. 

Retail Theft

Rosemary Wehner-Lupu, 52, of Morton Grove was charged on Feb. 24  with an outstanding warrant on a retail theft incident.

Fillipo Bonaccorso, 66, of Niles was charged with retail theft after a security camera caught the subject taking a Dowell cordless drill cutter and a Woodscraft Dowell pin on March 2 at 6301 Oakton Avenue.

Samuel Toledo, 66, of Chicago was charged with retail theft after a security camera caught the subject taking "a Door Viewer & Steel Washer, a Coax Stripper, a 1/8 Short Rivet, a 13 Quadbox Set, a 3 piece Wrench Adapter, and a Swivel Aerator Sprayer" according to the police report, on March 2 at 6301 Oakton Avenue.

Miscellaneous activity

Unknown offender(s) spray painted the front window of the business located at 6315 Dempster Street on Feb. 25.

Police issued a local ordinance citation to an offender for public intoxication on Feb. 25 at the 8800 block of Olcott Avenue.

Unknown offender(s) took a navigation GPS and stereo faceplate from an unlocked vehicle in a garage on the 7800 block of Central Avenue on Feb. 26.
