The 69-year-old victim uses a cane. Arrest information is taken from Niles Police Department reports. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tadeusz Zdanowski, 50, of Niles was charged with battery and bodily harm Dec. 30 at about 8 p.m. after his neighbor, a 69-year-old man who uses a cane, was injured.

Upon arrival, police found the victim in front of his home on Catino Terrace, and they said he told them his neighbor, Zdanowski, had shoved him to the ground because he was upset that the victim had parked his car too close to Zdanowski's vehicle on the street.

According to police, the victim said Zdanowski had come out of his house, swore at him in Polish and approached and shoved him in the chest, causing him to fall and hit his head. Zdanowski then threw the victim's cane across the street, where police retrieved it.
