Updated: Niles, Morton Grove Runners in Boston Marathon

One Niles and one Morton Grove runner finished; one Morton Grove runner made it to the 40K point but records show she didn't finish.

Two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon today, killing two and injuring at least 100, with many amputations of limbs required for the injured, according to Huffington Post. 

Among Niles runners, Boston Marathon records show Arlie Ramirez finished the race in 3:13:10, in 4347th place overall. He finished at 1:16 p.m. Eastern time, well before the bombs went off shortly before 3 p.m. Eastern.

Among Morton Grove runners, Kirk Taylor finished the race in 4:16:28, in 17374 place overall. He crossed the finish line at 2:38 p.m. Eastern, about 20 minutes before the bomb blasts. Taylor posted on Google Person Finder that he is safe in his hotel.

Records show Susan Zimmer of Morton Grove, bib 19557, reached the half point in 1:57:49, but do not yet show a finish time. Boston Marathon records show she reached the 40K point at about 3:12 p.m. Eastern time, which would have put her 2.19 kilometers away from the finish line at that point. The first explosion happened just before 3 p.m. Eastern time.
