Niles Police Blotter: Van Cleaned Out of Clothes

The following information was supplied by the Niles Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Theft: Approximately $6 was taken Nov. 22 from the locker at a fitness center in the 6300 block of Touhy Avenue.

Criminal Damage to Property: Locks were cut off several trailers parked in a lot in the 6900 block of Austin Boulevard. Estimated loss was $130.

Theft: A 10-1/2 ton Carrier air conditioning unit was taken Nov. 22 from the rear of a building in the 8100 block of Milwaukee Avenue. Estimated loss was $4,000.

Retail Theft: An employee of a business in the 5700 block of Touhy Avenue noticed that security wires were cut and two cell phones were stolen on Nov. 22. Estimated loss was $1,000.

Theft: An estimated $10,000 worth of dry cleaned clothing was taken from a van parked in the rear of a business in the 7400 block of Harlem Avenue.
