One Car Stolen; Another Car Had All Tires Stolen

While a car was parked in the driveway of a home in the 8200 block of Harlem Ave. in Niles on Friday, someone removed all four tires and wheels and keyed all the panels of the car. 

Suspect walks into garage, takes running car

A man left his vehicle inside the garage of his home in the 9000 block of Maryland St. Saturday, and had the motor running and the keys in the ignition. A neighbor said a stranger waved at him, then walked across to the victim's home and went inside the garage. The car was last seen heading north on Maryland towards Church St. The suspect is described as a black male, about 20 years old, 5'9" and 170 pounds, wearing a white and gray fleece.

Man charged with DUI/alcohol

Saul Valencia-Bonilla, 36, of Morton Grove was charged with DUI/alcohol after police stopped him for a traffic offense Saturday and discovered he had only a Mexican drivers license and an expired insurance card. He showed signs of impairment on field sobriety tests. His blood alcohol level tested at .131. His court date is Dec. 13 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County Court system.
