Parents Pleading For Missing Teen’s Return

A Lincolnwood teen has been missing since May 2. Family members say Carlee Lemel, 17, of Lincolnwood is “mentally unstable” and has not taken her medication since her disappearance.

Family members are seeking the community’s help in finding their 17-year-old daughter, Carlee Lemel, who has been missing since May 2.

Renee Lemel, Carlee’s aunt, said the teen is “mentally unstable.”

“She has not taken her medication since May 2,” she said. “We’re worried.”

Carlee is described as a white female, 5-foot-7, about 155-pounds, light brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen near her home in Lincolnwood, which is near the intersection of Touhy and Kostner avenues.

Renee Lemel added that the family recovered her vehicle at 3404 Thorndale Ave. in Chicago on May 4.

Renee added that Carlee left a note prior to her disappearance.

“Can I just be happy? Just let me be,” the note read.

Anyone with information regarding Carlee’s whereabouts should reach out to:

  • Bruce Lemel (father): 847-962-9752
  • Mia Lemel (sister): 847-912-0067
  • Lincolnwood Police Department: 847-673-2167
