Park Ridge Police Made Holiday Arrests

The department applied for a grant and deployed extra officers from Dec. 17 to Jan. 1 to catch impaired drivers and those not wearing seatbelts.

 

The Park Ridge Police Department made a number of arrests over the holiday period, Dec. 17 to Jan. 1, by getting extra officers out on the roads.

They included one arrest for DUI (driving under the influence), one for drug possession and one for suspended/revoked license. They also issued 12 occupant restraint citations, four speeding citations and four other citations.

To conduct the holiday season safety enforcement, the department applied for a Sustained Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).
