Police Blotter: Aggressive Threats; DUI Charges; Shoplifting Arrests

Officers arrested 13 people recently in the village.

Aggressive Threats

Kevin Smentek, 20, of Morton Grove, was charged with aggravated assault at 7900 Lotus Ave. on May 2 after he allegedly threatened to kill and burn a victim while holding a lighter to him.

Edwin Hernandez, 41, of Park Ridge, was charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly threatened and sent a person harassing messages on May 7 at 7200 Dempster St. Police issued him a citation and then released him. Kappy's Restaurant & Pancake House is located at the reported address.

Michael Molloy, 52, of Buffalo Grove, was charged with driving under the influence after he was involved in an accident at 7900 Golf Rd. on May 5.

Luis Alicea, 29, of Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license after police stopped him for traffic violations on May 8 at the corner of Dempster Street and Ozark Avenue.

Bernabie Drazleal, 28, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license after police stopped her for traffic violations on May 8 at the corner of Dempster Street and Ozark Avenue.

Miguel Gamez, 28, of Des Plaines, was charged with driving with a revoked driver’s license after police stopped his vehicle for traffic violations on May 8 at the corner of Lincoln and Mango avenues.

Josh Schwartz, 20, of Skokie, was charged with driving under the influence after police stopped him for traffic violations at the corner of Dempster Street and Lincoln Avenue on May 8.

Elijah Timatyos, 19, of Lincolnwood, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license after police stopped him for traffic violations on May 9 at the corner of Dempster Street and Moody Avenue.

Retail Theft

Pablo Miranda, 32, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after store security watched him take a knife without paying for it at Menards, 6301 Oakton Ave., on May 5.

Andrzej Andreaski, 48, of Glenview, was charged with retail theft after store security watched him take cologne without paying for it at a store at 6300 Lincoln Ave. on May 10.

Elena Bertolli, 56, of Park Ridge, and Anthony Imperatrice, 63, of Norridge, were charged with retail theft after store security watched them take a saw blade without paying for it at Menards, 6301 Oakton Ave., on May 11.

Outstanding Warrant

Julius Miles, 25, of Chicago, was charged with an outstanding warrant and was then released on bond on April 27.
