Police Blotter: Battery, Theft

The police department has provided the following reports. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

"Readers are reminded that an arrest by the police does not constitute a finding of guilt, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty," according to a statement from police Cmdr. Michael Fujara. All information comes directly from police reports.

Theft

Rimma Likover, 25, of Glenview, was arrested at 8400 Waukegan Rd. on June 2 for allegedly stealing and cashing and an individual's checks. Likover's court date is scheduld for July 11.

No driver's license

Police arrested Nelina Bautista, 24, of Chicago, at Lincoln Avenue and Gross Point Road for driving without a license on June 4. Bautista will appear in court on July 11.

Suspended driver's license

Maurice Jones, 26, was stopped for disobeying traffic rules at Dempster Street and Georgiana Avenue on June 5. He was found to be driving on a suspended license and was given a court date of June 21.

Battery

Officers arrested Fahrudin Sabanovic, 53, of Chicago, after Sabanovic used a blunt object to strike a person during an argument on June 5 at 6300 Oakton St. Sabanovic's court date is July 11.

Possession of Cannabis

Kris Jiron, 32, of Chicago, was cited when police found marijuana in his car after he allowed a search on June 5 at 6200 Dempster St. He is slated to appear in court on July 11.

Nedzad Gladan, 32, of Skokie, was also cited June 5  after admitting there was marijuana in the car at 9000 Oak Park Ave. Gladan's court date is June 21.

Retail theft

Jakub Zientek, 25, of Morton Grove, was arrested at his house for stealing instant lottery tickets on June 7. Zientek is required to appear in court on July 28.

Thac S. Do, 72, of Skokie, was arrested after hiding a saw in his clothing and walking out of the store at 6300 Oakton St. without paying. His court date is July 24.
