Police Blotter: Bike Rack Theft, Broken Windows

The following information was supplied by the Morton Grove police department. Where an arrest was made, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Nov. 27
Theft - An unknown offender took a victim’s cell phone from her purse while she was shopping on the 6000 block of Oakton Street.

Nov. 29
Battery - The victim was pushed by the offender after a verbal altercation on the 6800 block of Dempster Street. The victim did not wish to sign complaints.

Nov. 27
Criminal Damage to Vehicle - Unknown offender(s) broke two windows on the victim’s vehicle which was parked in a parking lot on the 6000 block of Dempster Street.

Nov. 25
Theft – An unknown offender took the victim’s purse which was in the victim’s shopping cart while the victim was shopping on the 7000 block of Dempster Street.

Nov. 26
Theft - Unknown offender(s) took the victim’s belongings from a locked gym locker on the 6800 block of Dempster Street.

Nov. 28
Retail Theft - Subject was observed concealing a drill bit and exiting the store on the 6000 block of Oakton Street without paying for it. The bit was recovered and the victim did not wish to sign complaints. The subject was cited for the theft under local ordinance.

Nov. 29
Theft - Unknown offender(s) took two bicycle racks from a park playground on the 5000 block of Mansfield Avenue.

Nov. 30
Retail Theft - Subject was observed concealing a pair of shoes and exiting a store on the 7000 block of Dempster Street without paying for them. The subject was cited for the theft under local ordinance.

Nov. 26
Harassment by Telephone - The victim received unwanted phone calls from her ex-daughter-in-law. The victim did not wish to sign complaints.
