Police Blotter: Burglary, Theft, Criminal Damage

Recent mischief in Morton Grove.

June 20

Attempted burglary: Somone used a tool to try to pry open the back door of a house in the 9400 block of Waukegan Road on two different nights.

Theft from a motor vehicle: Someone stole a woman's purse from her vehicle while it was parked at Dominicks (6821 Dempster St.) The offender broke the rear passenger window.

Criminal damage to property: Police found graffitti on a wooden fence in the 9000 block of Mason Ave.

Theft from a motor vehicle: Someone stole $6,000 in cash, a purse, a Doppler Echo Scope and a medication pad from a woman's parked vehicle at Dominicks (6821 Dempster St.). The offender broke the rear driver-side window to get in the car.

Criminal damage to property: Police found graffiti on a fence in the 9000 block of Marmora Ave.

Theft from a motor vehicle: Somone stole a woman's purse from her vehicle, which was parked at Dominicks (6821 Dempster St.). The person entered by breaking the rear passenger window.

Criminal damage to property: Someone damaged a chain link fence when he or she jumped over it.
