Police Blotter: Assault, Battery, DUI

The following information was supplied by the Morton Grove police department. If an arrest occurred, it does not indicate a conviction

Feb. 21 
Sale of tobacco products to a minor - Mohammad Anis, employee of Tobacco Outlet, was issued a citation for allegedly selling a pack of cigarettes to a 16-year-old who was working with the police to check businesses in Morton Grove for compliance with tobacco sale laws. Tobacco Outlet was also issed a citation and a administrative hearing is scheduled for March 14.

Feb. 17 
Liquor Law Violation: Delivery or Sale to a Minor - Ashley M. King, 22, of Chicago was charged with selling liquor to a minor on the 6300 block of Dempster. Her court date is scheduled for March 29. 

Feb. 23 
Battery - Christopher R. Jugo, 22, of Skokie, was charged with hitting the victim in face with his fist on the 5900 block of Oakton. Court date is scheduled for April 3.

Feb. 23 
Battery - Julie Lundin, 22, of Morton Grove, was charged with hitting and scratching the victim's neck on the 5900 block of Oakton. Court date is scheduled for April 3. 

Feb. 23 
Obstructing - Juan Cabrera, 23, of Chicago, was charged with giving false information to the police on the 5900 block of Oakton. Court date is scheduled for April 3.  

Feb. 25
DUI - Thomas E. Brophy, 31, of Chicago, was charged with sleeping in the driver’s seat of a running motor vehicle that was parked while under the influence of alcohol. Court date is scheduled for March 29. 

Feb. 25 
Assault & Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer - Anthony S. Pepitone, 50, of Morton Grove, was charged with assault after making a fist and running at the victim attempting to strike victim. Subject said he had a gun that would make the victim dance. Subject was also charged with resisting officers when arrested on the 7000 block of Church. Court date is scheduled for April 3.

Feb. 26 
No Valid Driver’s License - Rusa M. Martinez, 27, of Chicago, was stopped for traffic violations and charged with driving without a valid driver's license. Court date is scheduled for April 3.

Feb. 26 
Retail Theft - Ostoja Dacic, 57, of Morton Grove, was allegedly seen on camera by store loss prevention agents placing a knife, saw blades and a screw guide in his pocket and then leaving the store without paying on the 6300 block of Oakton. Court date is scheduled for March 15.
