The police department has provided the following reports. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Theft
An unidentified man filled up his vehicle with gas at the Shell Station at 5600 Dempster St. on June 1 and sped off without paying.

Deceptive practices
An unknown male called a resident posing as the resident's grandson and asking for money because he was in trouble. The resident wired the money on June 1 but then found out it was a scam.

Theft
Two people ordered food at a restaurant at 9001 Waukegan Rd. on June 1, but they left without paying.
Criminal damage to property
Someone spraypainted a wooden fence at 6100 Dempster St. on June 5.
Unknown offenders spraypainted two different business in the 6000 block of Dempster Street on June 6.
A driver found the window of his vehicle smashed out at Menards (8800 Menard Ave.) on June 6.
Another driver found his car spraypainted at 6000 Dempster St. on June 6.
