Police Blotter: Prostitution, Hit and Run

The following arrest information was supplied by the Morton Grove police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Dec. 11 
Promoting Prostitution - 
Sargon Jassim, 38, of Morton Grove, came to the to report a theft from a hotel room he rented on the 9000 block of Waukegan. He allegedly told police that he rented the room for a friend to use to charge money for sex and that she took a TV from the room before she left. Court date is scheduled for Jan. 27. 

Dec. 19 
Driving with No Valid License - 
Gerardo Lopez-Angel, 36, of Niles, was stopped for traffic violations on the 6000 block of Golf and charged with driving with no valid license. His court date is scheduled for Jan. 12. 

Dec. 19 
Driving with a Suspended License -
Antwon Johnson, 42, of South Holland, was stopped for traffic violations on the 5000 block of Dempster and charged with driving on a suspended license. His court date is scheduled for Jan. 13. 

Dec. 16 
Driving Under the Influence -
Nella Voytenko, 48, of Melrose Park, was stopped for traffic violations near Dempster and Harlem and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. His court date is scheduled for Jan. 12. 

Dec. 14 
Hit and Run Accident -
Simon Sebhat, 19, of Skokie, allegedly left the scene after being involved in an accident on the 9000 block of Nagle. His court date is scheduled for Feb. 9. 

Dec. 15 
Retail Theft -
Thamithy Barton, 44, of Des Plaines, was charged with concealing cologne and exiting a store on the 7000 block of Dempster without paying for the item. Court date is scheduled for Jan. 12.

Dec. 19 
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia -
Melequadez Arteaga, 26, of Chicago, was stopped for traffic violations on the 8000 block of Waukegan and burnt cannabis could allegedly be smelled within the vehicle. A search revealed drug paraphernalia within the vehicle. Court date is scheduled for Jan. 12. 

Dec. 17 
Aggravated Assault to a Police Officer - 
While being investigated as a possible offender in a fight, Alberto Espino, 24, of Niles, was charged with aggravated assault to a police officer after spitting at two police officers and cursing at them. His court date is scheduled for Jan. 18.
