Police Blotter: Recent Arrests in Morton Grove

Morton Grove police provided the following information. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

"Readers are reminded that an arrest by the police does not constitute a finding of guilt, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty," according to a statement from police Cmdr. Michael Fujara. All information comes directly from police reports.

Filing false report

Rochelle Overton, 22, of Prospect Heights, was charged with disorderly conduct on May 26. The arrest occurred after she "claimed to be the victim of a domestic battery and it was later determined that she filed a false police report," according to the department.

Driving without a license

Julio Landi, 40, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a license on May 28 after police stopped Landi for traffic violations at the corner of Marmora and Capulina avenues.

Marijuana possession

Kevin Jennetten, 19, of Morton Grove was charged with possession of marijuana after police stopped his vehicle for traffic violations on May 29 in the 5600 block of Theobald Road.

Violating protection order

Hermie Balingit, 52, of Niles was charged May 30 with violating a protection order after Balingit allegedly entered the prohibited address in the 5500 block of Lincoln Avenue.
