Police Blotter: Recent Arrests in Morton Grove

The following arrest information came from the Morton Grove Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

"Readers are reminded that an arrest by the police does not constitute a finding of guilt, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty," according to a statement from police Cmdr. Michael Fujara. All information comes directly from police reports.

Christina Rosero, 25, of Chicago was charged with driving without a driver's license after the subject was involved in a car crash on June 6 at the corner of Golf Road and Waukegan Road.

Callie Loftin, 61, of Chicago was charged with driving with a suspended driver's license after the subject was involved in a car crash on June 6 at the corner of Golf Road and Waukegan Road.

Ocavio Velazquez, 35, of Skokie was charged with driving without a driver's license after police stopped the subject for traffic violations on June 9 at the corner of Golf Road and Waukegan Road.

James Hickey, 28, of Green Bay, Wis. was arrested on June 10 at 5912 Warren St. after the subject, who was intoxicated, rang the doorbell at 5912 Warren St. The residents said they did not know Hickey and called 911. The police did a name check and discovered an outstanding warrant.

Ricardo Villegas-Espino, 25, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 8530 Waukegan Rd. in June 13.

Robert Peterson, 33, of Ingleside was charged with criminal trespass at 8320 Major Ave. on June 14 after the subject was advised that "if he returned to the property he would be arrested." He returned to the address and was arrested.

Parveer Sohal, 31, of Prospect Heights was charged with retail theft at T.J. Maxx, 7250 Dempster St. on June 15, after the subject hid a picture frame and two wallets, and then returned the three items for cash at the customer service desk. The T.J. Maxx loss prevention officer was a witness.
