Police Blotter: Road Rage, Theft and Graffiti

Officers recently logged nine incidents in the village.

Disorderly Conduct

An individual followed a woman on her way to work in his car on May 4 at 9521 Waukegan Rd. When she was in her office, the offender began "banging on the office windows of the business requesting to speak with the victim." She called the poilce; he fled the scene; and later police contacted him to advise that he leave her alone. The victim did not sign complaints.

Battery: Road Rage

Aggressive driving led to battery on May 8 at the 5500 block of Dempster Street, when one driver exited his car, punched the other driver involved, and then struck him in the forearm with a pencil. The victim chose not to sign complaints.

Harassment by Phone

Unknown individual(s) called the victim at 5627 Emerson Ave. and threatened her multiple times on May 10. She decided not to sign complaints. 

Theft

Three incidents of theft, with estimated value at more than $300, occurred at Bally Total Fitness. A cell phone and wallet were taken from a locker in the locker room at 6821 Dempster St. on May 4. The following day, May 5, another wallet was stolen. On May 6, a cell phone was taken.

Someone stole a woman's wallet from the countertop at the 6715 Dempster St. on May 9. The estimated value was under $300.

Graffiti

Unknown individual(s) took white spray paint to the wall of businesses at 6038 Dempster Street on May 6.

The next day, white and gold spray paint was found on the businesses at 6120 Dempster Street.
