Police Blotter: Smoking, Spray-painting and Shoplifting

Officers arrested 15 people in the last week and recorded one incident with unknown perpetrators.

"Readers are reminded that an arrest by the police does not constitute a finding of guilt, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty," according to a statement by Cmdr. Michael Fujara.

Morton Grove Arrests

Aquileo Herrera, 43, of Glenview was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license while being stopped for traffic violations at 6200 Dempster St. on Jan. 26.

Gregoria Martinez, 41, of Morton Grove was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license while being stopped for traffic violations at 6200 Dempster St. on Jan. 26.

Demetrice Stallworth, 36, of Chicago was charged with having a suspended driver’s license after being stopped for traffic violations at the intersection of Central and Lyons on Jan. 28

On Jan. 28, Edwin Matute, 35, of Chicago was stopped by police for traffic violations and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license at the intersection of Golf and Nashville.

Police stopped Angel Allende, 59, of Chicago at the intersection of Golf and Overlook for traffic violations and charged the suspect with driving without a driver’s license on Jan. 29.

Police stopped Ramone WIlliams, 31, of Aurora for traffic violations at the intersection of Dempster and Birch on Jan. 29 and charged the suspect with a DUI.

Police stopped George Jemison, 46, of Harvey for traffic violations at 7800 Golf Rd. and charged the suspect with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

Armando Rico-Soto, 20, of Evanston was stopped by police for traffic violations at 6300 Dempster St. on Jan. 30 and charged with driving without a driver’s license.

Don Papadatos, 22, of Skokie was stopped by police on Jan. 30 at 7400 Dempster St. for traffic violations and charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license.

Police stopped Rogelia Santillanes, 27, of Chicago for traffic violations at 7300 Dempster St. on Jan. 31 and charged the suspect with a DUI.

Police charged David Baughman, 88, of Evanston with retail theft at 6301 Oakton after he was caught on a security camera stealing three grinding stones and a saw blade on Jan. 31.

Eric Weyhrauch, 29, of Morton Grove was charged with disorderly conduct for interfering with the investigation of a suspicious person at 9100 Luna St. on Jan. 31. He was given a local ordinance ticket.

Police stopped Jose Rebolla, 38, of Chicago for traffic violations at 8400 Menard and charged the suspect with driving without a driver’s license on Feb. 1.

Larry Hampton, 40, of Chicago was observed by an officer driving a stolen taxi at the intersection of Golf and Waukegan on Jan. 26. The officer ordered Hampton to stop, and pursued the suspect when Hampton continued driving. Police disengaged the offender for safety reasons, but he was later apprehended by Chicago police.

Kenneth Trumball, 59, of Morton Grove, was seen smoking within 15 feet of an entrance at 6140 Dempster St. on Jan. 26 and charged with violating the Smoke Free Illinois Act.
