Police Blotter: Stolen GPS, Parking Lot Dispute

Recent mischief in Morton Grove.

"Readers are reminded that an arrest by the police does not constitute a finding of guilt, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty," according to a statement from police Cmdr. Michael Fujara. All information comes directly from police reports.

Aug. 13
At least the leaves will cover it up, right? - Unknown offender(s) used an unknown chemical on the victim’s lawn to kill bushes, flowers and grass at 9116 Parkside Ave.

Sept. 25
It's time to quit - Someone took two packs of cigarettes and walked out without paying for them at 7900 Golf Rd.

Sept. 26
Deceptive Practice - Unknown offender(s) took out a loan using the victim’s information without his permission.

Car Damage and Theft

Sept. 23 - Unknown offender(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle at 9211 Menard Ave. and stole a wallet, cash, gift cards, and credit cards.  

Sept. 24 - At 9036 Meade Ave., unknown offender(s) entered victim’s unlocked motor vehicle and removed a GPS unit.

Sept. 27 - Someone broke a victim’s car window and took a GPS unit at 8800 Oswego Ave.

Sept. 26 - At 7901 Golf Rd., a victim accidently struck the offenders car door with her car door and an argument ensued between the two subjects. The offender then struck the victims vehicle with her car door causing damage to the victim’s vehicle and began swearing at the victim. The offender admitted to the act and agreed to pay restitution to the victim. The victim did not wish to sign complaints.
