Police Blotter: Suspected Drug Pipe Seized; 2 Charged With Battery; 2 DUIs and One Retail Theft

The following arrest information came from the Morton Grove Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

"Readers are reminded that an arrest by the police does not constitute a finding of guilt, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty," according to a statement from police Cmdr. Michael Fujara. All information comes directly from police reports.

Drug Equipment

Jerry Arceo, 30, of Niles, was charged with possession of drug equipment on May 19 after police stopped him for traffic violations at 6300 Oakton Avenue and found a glass pipe.

Battery

Cesario Cox, 21, of Park Ridge, and Brandy Hall, 22 of Niles, were charged with battery after they allegedly struck an employee at 9110 Waukegan Rd. when the employee asked them to keep the noise to a minimum on May 21.

DUI

Cody Sero, 23, of Lake in the Hill, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police stopped him for traffic violations on May 22 at the corner of Dempster Street and Waukegan Road.

George Granf Jr., 29, of Winnetka, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police stopped him for traffic violations on May 24 in the 9100 block of Central Avenue. 

Retail Theft

Wajid Lodhi, 54, of Lincolnwood, was charged with retail theft after Lodhi allegedly took items and tried to leave without paying at Menards, 6301 Oakton Ave., on May 24.
