Police Distribute Free Prom Dresses to Teens

Niles, Park Ridge and Des Plaines Police collected about 600 dresses and accessories, and teens showed up to find that perfect ensemble.

When police put out the word they were collecting gently-used prom dresses so that girls who might not be able to afford them could still have their dream of going to prom, residents responded with almost fairytale generosity.

They collected about 600 dresses and accessories, according to the Journal & Topics.
