Terrence Butterfield, manager for the Motel 6, 1535 Milwaukee Ave., Glenview, reported to Glenview police that he believed two women were committing prostitution in their hotel room at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, according to police.

The women rented the room at 12 p.m, and several men came in and out over the next two hours, according to Butterfield. He asked police officers to stand by while he offered to reimburse the women for their room and asked them to leave.

When police arrived, however, the women were not in their room.
