Roommate Screams At Man In Domestic Dispute

Daniel Chernesky, 34, was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication Wednesday after his 31-year-old roommate called police to say Chernesky had been drinking and was yelling at him because he is moving out of their shared apartment. The man had earlier declined to give Chernesky a ride to the store to buy a video game, and Chernesky yelled at both the man and his girlfriend. Police stood by while the man removed his belongings from the apartment, on the 8400 block of Milwaukee Ave., Niles. However, Chernesky continued to yell even though police told him not to. They issued a domestic violence form. 

$400 Dyson vacuum taken 

A loss prevention employee for a store in the 8500 block of Golf Road, Niles, told police a man took a Dyson vacuum cleaner valued at $399 from a store display April 4 and exited the store.  The store was able to recover a surveillance photo.
