Runaway Cat Prompts Domestic Dispute

The last time cat ran away, it was attacked by a raccoon.

When an adult daughter came to visit her 84-year-old father, who lives in the 7000 block of Wright Terrace, Niles, on Feb. 1, the father's cat ran outside as she opened the door to his home. While police found the two versions of the story differed, the daughter wound up with some of the father's hot coffee on her. The father said that he was afraid for the cat, since the last time it escaped, it was attacked by a raccoon. He said that the daughter was trying to hold his hand and as he was pulling away, he was upset, his hands were shaking and his hot coffee spilled on her. The victim refused medical attention.
