Son Cuts Electrical Wires In Domestic Dispute

He became angry with his parents. Arrest information is supplied by the Niles Police Department. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of guilt.

A 47-year-old Niles woman living in the 7900 block of Caldwell Avenue reported Saturday at about 4:12 p.m. that her 24-year-old son had argued with her and cut all the electrical wires in the home, according to a police report. The son became angry because his father, 60, was coughing, and he wanted him to be quiet, police said. Niles Family Services is working with the family. Police filed a report and issued domestic violence forms.

Man charged on warrant, also for suspended driver's license

Samuel Alvarez, 27, of South Pulaski Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license Saturday just after 10:30 p.m. when police observed him driving in the 7600 block of Harlem Avenue, Niles, with an expired registration sticker, police said. A database check showed his driver's license was suspended. Police also learned Alvarez had a valid outstanding warrant from Will County, according to the report. Alvarez was also cited for expired registration and no proof of insurance. His court date is April 11 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.
