Storm Brings One Injury, 15 Accidents
Police responded to 15 calls as a result of Thursday's snowfall.
Out of 15 snowstorm-related calls have responded to as of Friday morning, the most serious involved a car hitting a pedestrian.
It happened at 1:29 a.m. Friday, when a 20-year-old Chicago man was crossing Touhy Avenue in the 6600 block with two companions, according to Sgt. Robert Tornabene. A gold-colored auto sideswiped him and kept going eastbound without ever stopping.

The victim was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where he was in stable condition. Niles police ask anyone with information about the hit and run incident to call them at (847) 588-6500.
Police also responded to nine accidents involving motor vehicles, three vehicle accidents in which drivers simply exchanged information and two incidents in which they assisted other police agencies.

The did not report any activity particular to the snowstorm.
"We've had a normal amount of calls," said Fire Chief Steve Borkowski.
