Stranger Approached Girl at Washington School Playground

Cook County Sheriff's police are monitoring the area of Washington School after a man reportedly approached a girl at recess.

A man reportedly approached a girl at the playground and asked her name during recess last Friday at Washington Elementary School in Glenview, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The school is on the border of Niles, and some Niles students attend it. 

Authorities are warning parents about the man, who was seen jumping over the fence after the girl ran away from him, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Washington Elementary School is located at 2710 Golf Rd. in Glenview and is part of East Maine School District 63.
