'Suspicious Vehicle' Call Leads To Cannabis Arrest


ARRESTS

Brian Kacynski, 19, of Morton Grove, was charged with possession of cannabis Sept. 19 after a resident called in about a suspicious vehicle at Monroe and Long. Police said he was found to be in possession of cannabis. Court date is scheduled 10/22/13.

Charles Maynor, 40, of Morton Grove was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property Sept. 19 in the 6000 block of Dempster. Officers responded to a criminal damage to property call, according to the police report, and found the suspect had caused the damage and was causing a breach of peace.Court date is scheduled for 10/03/13.

Valercia Lungu, 28, of Chicago, was stopped Sept. 21 at Fernald and Dempster for traffic violations and was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license. Court date is scheduled for 10/18/13 

Carol Meyer, 45, of Morton Grove was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 22 at Parkside and Dempster, police said, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Court date is scheduled for 10/18/13.

Zain Siddiqui, 19, of Niles was stopped in the 7600 block of Dempster Sept. 22 after an officer observed him driving in excess of 40 miles per hour over the posted speed limit, according to the police report. He was charged with speeding more than 40 mph over the speed limit. Court date is scheduled for 10/22/13.

Matthew Acosta, 19, of St. Charles was stopped for traffic violations Sept. 23 at Birch and Dempster, police said, and charged with consuming alcohol while being under the age of 21.Court date is scheduled for 10/29/13.

MISCELLANEOUS

In a Burglary to Motor Vehicle case Sept. 24 in the 9400 block of Oliphant, an unknown offender(s) entered a vehicle and removed multiple tools.

In a Theft case Sept. 19 in the 5700 block of Dempster, unknown offender(s) stole a bike that was parked outside a business.
