Teen Spits In Mom's Face
Police were called in a domestic dispute. An arrest is merely an accusation and not evidence of a conviction.
Police reponded Tuesday at about 11:30 p.m. to a home in the 8000 block of Ottawa, in which a 37-year-old woman reported that her 17-year-old daughter had spat in her face, according to the report. The mother told police she disciplined her daughter by slapping her on the face, they said. The teen confirmed spitting at her mother and said she did it because her mother kept following her around the house, police said. Police issued a domestic violence form and referred the family to Niles Family Services.

A 69-year-old Niles woman reported to police May 22 that someone had used her credit information to make three different purchases in the amount of $66.14. She had contacted her credit card company, and they advised her to report the incident to police. She requested a follow-up.
