Two Charged In Restaurant Pickpocketing Scheme

They had been involved with pickpocketing from patrons in local restaurants, police said.



Two women had been charged in an area wide pickpocketing enterprise, Park Ridge police said.

Star L. Davis, 44, and Tracy Musiala, 22, each face felony charges related to pickpocketing thefts that occurred at area restaurants.

The Northbrook and Park Ridge investigation determined that the two women were part of an ongoing criminal enterprise. Police said the two women were part of a group whose members "committed thefts by way of pickpocketing, typically from patrons at local restaurants."

Police said two thefts happened in Park Ridge – one on May 22 and one on July 13. The credit cards and personal information acquired in the thefts was used to purchase gift card and electronics from stores.

Davis is charged as organizer of a continuing financial crimes enterprise, a Class X felony. She also was charged with several counts of theft and theft by deception.

Musiala was charged with one count of continuing financial crimes enterprise, a felony.
