Two Homes Burglarized

Both incidents took place Saturday. Arrest information is supplied by the Niles Police Department. An arrest is merely an accusation and is not evidence of guilt.

A 58-year-old Niles man reported Saturday that his home, in the 8500 block of Chester, was burglarized sometime between 8:45 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Police are investigating.

On the same day, a 57-year-old Niles man also reported a burglary at his home, in the 8500 block of Clifton. It happened between 3 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Monico Ramirez, 47, of North Keystone Avenue, Chicago, was charged with DUI Sunday at 4:20 a.m. after police responded to Milwaukee Avenue and Oakton Street for a report of a white Oldsmobile driving "all over the place," according to a police report. Police stopped Ramirez, the driver, who said he had had five beers, according to the report. He showed impairment on field sobriety tests. His court date is March 28 in the Skokie branch of the Cook County courts.
