Two Women Fight At Mall

The mall banned them both from coming back. Arrest information is supplied by the Niles Police Department. An arrest is merely an accusation of guilt and does not constitute a conviction.

On Saturday at about 4:40 p.m., two women who have had a long-standing dispute spotted each other in the food court area of Golf Mill Shopping Center and began fighting, according to a Niles police report. One is a 31-year-old Chicago woman, the other a 30-year-old Chicago woman. The first woman had a slight cut across her nose, according to police. 

Golf Mill security banned both women from the mall.

On Friday just after 2:45 p.m., a 36-year-old Niles woman reported her 14-year-old daughter missing. Around the same time, the daughter walked to a friend's home and told that family that her mother had beaten her, according to a police report. The mother and daughter were reunited at the Niles Police Station. 

The daughter was supposed to go to school that day, but did not go, according to the report. The mother emailed the daughter asking her whereabouts and the daughter replied she was at school, police said. The mother went home and discovered the daughter there. The mother was on the phone with the Niles West High School dean when the daughter sneaked out of the house, according to the report.

Police said the daughter alleged the mother hit and kicked her. Police offered to get the daughter medical attention, but she declined. They did not see signs of injury on her, according to the report. Police said the daughter refused to go home, so arrangements were made for her to go to her father's house in Chicago.
