Woman's ATM Card Scammed $1,673
All of the withdrawals occurred in Mexico, which she visited in October. Arrest information is supplied by the Niles Police Department. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of guilt.
A Niles woman living in the 6900 block of Howard Street reported to police March 7 that she noticed a number of ATM withdrawals over a two-day period that totaled $1,672.82. She learned all the charges had occurred in Mexico, which she had visited in October. She cancelled the ATM card.
Two lockers robbed at fitness center
Two incidents of theft occurred at a fitness center at Golf Mill Shopping Center on Saturday. In the first incident, a 65-year-old Skokie man reported he noticed two men in the same locker cubicle in the locker room. When he went to retrieve his belongings, he found his lock had been cut off his locker, and his cell phone, valued at $200, as well as his wallet, three credit cards and $80 cash was missing.

The second victim, a 35-year-old Chicago man, also found his lock cut off his locker. He lost his wallet, two credit cards, $20 cash and a cellular phone valued at $50.
Staff said they remembered seeing two men who had not scanned in. Police are reviewing video footage and investigating.
