Woman Sexually Harassed in Parking Lot

A 28-year-old woman from Des Plaines called police April 13 to report an obscene incident that occurred at 9:35 a.m. She told police that she was sitting on a bench outside a business in the 9000 block of Greenwood Avenue when a black Mercedes pulled up and the driver waved her over to the vehicle.

The driver raised his body and turned on the car's interior light so that he could be seen pulling down his pants and touching his genital area. The woman used her cell phone to call her husband, who was inside a store at the shopping center. The offender then drove off, hitting a green vehicle as he left the area. 

The driver was described as 28-35 years old,  between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10, with black hair and an olive complexion. Police are investigating the matter. 

Wrigleyville bar patron charged

Timothy Emmons, 24, of Des Plaines, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding after Niles police observed him driving 54 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 7900 block of Milwaukee Avenue about 1 a.m. April 14.

Emmons showed signs of impairment during a field sobriety test and told police he had "just left a bar in Wrigleyville," according to the report. His court date is May 20 at the Cook County courthouse in Skokie.
