Women Charged With Retail Theft at Golf Mill

One removes $386 worth of merchandise; another, $277 worth.

Natalia Mielniczuk of Des Plaines was charged with retail theft after security personnel observed her putting diapers, whiskey, a DVD, children's clothing, sweatshirts and cold medicine in her purse and leaving a Golf Mill Shopping Center store without paying on Nov. 6. The items totaled $386.39.

Amy Matias, 20, of North Montclare Ave., Chicago, was charged with retail theft on Nov. 6, and a minor accompanying her was ticketed for petite theft and released to his father. Matias concealed $277 worth of merchandise in her purse, and the juvenile took two shirts from store displays, put them on and then put his own shirt on top, and both left the store, according to security personnel at a store at Golf Mill Shopping Center. Police found Matias with a wallet, scarf, underwear, baby clothes and iPhone covers.
