Women Steal $1,000 Worth of Baby Formula

in another incident, a British visitor had his wallet stolen. An arrest is merely an accusation, not evidence of a conviction.

A security agent for a retail store in the 8500 block of Golf Road reported Sept. 11 at 12:40 p.m. that two women in their 20s had entered the store, loaded a shopping cart with five cases of baby formula valued at $1,000, exited the store without paying and took off in an SUV. The security agent did provide the license plate number. Police are investigating.

Just after 8:20 a.m. on Sept. 12, a 42-year-old man from the United Kingdom reported he had opened his wallet at a restaurant in the 7100 block of Milwaukee Avenue on the previous day, then returned to his hotel, where he discovered it was missing. Police said the man, who told them he is here on business, suspected he had left the wallet on the counter at the restaurant. He returned to the restaurant and spoke with employees there but was told they did not have his wallet. The man described his wallet as a brown leather bi-fold, containing $85, approximately 80 British pounds and credit cards.
