City Council Salutes Library's 100th Year

The Park Ridge City Council honored Park Ridge Library leaders Monday at its regular meeting, on the occasion of the library's centennial.

Park Ridge Mayor Dave Schmidt proclaimed 2013 as the year of the library, and Library Director Janet Van De Carr said the library will be celebrating the 100th anniversary throughout 2013. She invited the public to check out the historical exhibit, profiling the library's beginnings, in the second floor display case.
